In a high pressure environment, time is critical and delivery of a shipment takes president over assessing the accurate weight of parcels. This can often result in an underestimation of weight and subsequently, undercharging to the customer. 

To combat such issues, ExPD Online has designed ‘Weighfarer’ an innovative mobile weighing unit. Specifically targeted towards the highly demanding, Distribution and Express Parcel Industries, it is robust and fully portable, with 8 hours battery life.

‘Weighfarer’ facilitates the weighing of packages up to 60kg, and by scanning the bar code, the consignment id together with the weight is transmitted, via a radio link to the host system. It also incorporates a resetable counter, enabling operators to cross check consignments against the parcel manifest. Each consignment can be accurately invoiced, thus increasing income significantly and most importantly the return on investment is visible in an exceptionally short time scale.
