EXPD
GO LEGAL ON ASSET TRACKING!
When
leading international private client law firm, Withers
LLP needed to get greater control of its fixed assets,
they turned to major bar code system provider, ExPD to
come up with an asset tracking solution.
Withers
LLP look after the legal business and personal interests
of successful people, and are one of the largest private
client practices in the world. They were in the process
of installing a facilities management solution at their
London offices and included in this was an asset register.
But with over 3,500 assets on site, ranging from IT
equipment through to works of art, they wanted to keep
closer track of their assets.
It
was at this point that another law firm recommended
ExPD, who have a ten-year track record and excellent
reputation for providing bespoke bar coding solutions.
ExPD already had a name for delivering document-tracking
solutions for legal firms, and much of their business
has been generated by word of mouth referrals by customers
who have been impressed by their responsiveness and
integrity.
Withers approached ExPD just as they were finalising
the development of their asset tracking solution, Asset-i.
The two companies worked closely to integrate Asset-i
with other company systems. With each asset bar coded
with bespoke labels, assets are audited simply and accurately,
with audit data automatically updating the asset register,
thus saving time and giving optimum accuracy. Withers
were delighted to find that Asset-i delivered a host
of other time-saving management tools such as maintenance
reminders, which simplifies health and safety compliance,
and an array of management reports such as asset value
and depreciation.
Micheal
Priestley, Head of Business Services at Withers said, "when
we were looking for a means of auditing our assets,
ExPD were recommended to us and right from the start
we were impressed with their knowledge and flexibility.
They took on a consultancy role and guided us through
the options and helped get us up and running very quickly".
